Goodbye, Corky

Caden lost his last remaining great-grandparent today, his great-grandfather and my paternal grandfather, known to all as Corky. He was a hard-working farmer and livestock trader who lived to be 94 years old. Caden loved playing in the stream at Corky's farm and riding his auntie's horses that were stabled there. I'm so glad they knew each other, if only for a few years. We love and miss you, Corky.

Your family is in our thoughts. I love that you have these precious photos of Caden and Corky, both in their plaid shirts, just hanging out together. Priceless.

Thank you for your expression of sympathy. It is much appreciated. This photo was at a family reunion and I put Caden in that shirt knowing it would be similar to Corky's usual style of dress. They enjoyed sitting together that day and just holding hands.

That is so touching. How great that you have those pictures and memories of them together. Safe travels, and know that you and your family are in our prayers.
